Someone could meet a career counsellor in Class 10 while someone else might want to meet one during graduation. The “right time” to seek career counselling varies for each person, depending on when one senses the need for expert guidance to determine the next step in their education or career journey. From a general standpoint, Class 9 might be an appropriate time for a student to first meet a career counsellor and figure out their next steps.

The time taken for career counselling varies with each client’s specific need. Typically, it might take 4-5 hours. The client usually comes back for follow-ups based on their research on the counsellor’s inputs/suggestions/recommendations.

A career counsellor’s role is more to help you find your best-suited fitment rather than give you heaps of information which one may also find out through other sources. Each counsellor will come with their set of strengths and expertise. A good counsellor is not somebody who knows everything, but one who is willing to “find out”.

We charge 5000-7500 INR depending on the individual case. This includes any follow-ups that the client may need within a year from the date of first counselling session.

A student fond of Economics may not want to get into fields that typically stem from it, like finance and data analysis, just like somebody who likes Biology may not necessarily want to be a doctor. Yet students often choose their degree courses based solely on what subjects they like, owe this to lack of perspective. 
Choosing one’s best-fit career requires a more comprehensive evaluation of one’s likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, and most importantly, guided envisioning of what various job roles look like. 
Choosing out of a lack of the bigger context will eventually feel like an accident instead of a decision.
